Western Organization of Resource Councils

The Northern Plains Resource Council is, in turn, a member of the Western Organization of Resource Councils (WORC). WORC is building a grassroots power base of community groups in the Northern Great Plains and the West. WORC has seven member organizations:

Our members include people from all walks of life: family farmers and ranchers, small business owners, blue-collar workers, college students, and professionals. What binds us together is a shared commitment to economic justice, environmental protection, local community problem solving, and grassroots democracy.

Each member group elects two representatives to WORC’s Board of Directors, which sets policies and guides programs and operations.
